Does Composure write my story for me?
No. Composure reads your manuscript and builds a story bible, scene map, and structural analysis. You do the writing. The AI only edits a document when you explicitly ask, every change is declared and reversible, and any document can be locked against the AI entirely.
Is my writing used to train AI models?
Never. Your writing, stories, and content are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. This is a binding commitment in our terms of service, and we do not even run analytics cookies.
What is a First Reading?
Composure's first pass through your manuscript. It reads every page and builds your Story Brain: character pages, canon, scene map, relationships, themes, and a scored Prism Spectrum Analysis. About twenty minutes, and free.
What file formats can I upload?
Markdown, plain text, Word (.docx), PDF, Fountain screenplays, RTF, Pages, EPUB, and ODT, up to twenty documents per project.
What does Composure cost?
We are in open beta. Creating an account and running a First Reading is free, and free accounts include an ink allotment for AI features. Paid plans add more; the pricing page has current details.
What is the Prism Spectrum Analysis?
Our structural reading of your work through eight lenses: need, want, question, obstacle, choice, theme, change, and structure. Each is scored with evidence so you can see what is working and where to focus revision. It updates as your story grows, and you can export it or share it.
