What is a Story Studio?

A workspace for drafting, worldbuilding, structure, continuity, and revision. Composure connects storytelling intelligence, your Story Brain, and a place to write. You direct the work.

Does Composure write my story for me?

You direct the work. Use Atlas for analysis and development, or invite it to help draft and revise. Documents can be locked against AI edits, and snapshots support recovery. You decide what belongs in your story.

Is my writing used to train AI models?

Never. Your writing, stories, and content are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. This is a binding commitment in our terms of service, and we do not even run analytics cookies.

What is a First Reading?

Composure's initial analysis of a manuscript you bring. It builds a Story Brain with characters, canon, a scene map, relationships, themes, and a Prism reading. Timing varies with the material and workload. First Reading is free during open beta; you can also begin with an idea instead.

What file formats can I upload?

Markdown, plain text, Word (.docx), PDF, Fountain screenplays, RTF, Pages, EPUB, and ODT, up to twenty documents per project.

What does Composure cost?

We are in open beta. Creating an account and running a First Reading is free, and free accounts include an ink allotment for AI features. Paid plans add more; the pricing page has current details.

What is the Prism Spectrum Analysis?

Our structural reading of your work through eight lenses: need, want, question, obstacle, choice, theme, change, and structure. Each is scored with evidence so you can see what is working and where to focus revision. You can revisit the reading as your story grows, export it, or share it. Scores are interpretations to discuss, not an objective verdict on the work.
